Doug Goldstein: I managed the band Guns-N-Roses from 1987–2004, and we opened for The Rolling Stones in 1989 at the LOS ANGELES Coliseum. We played 5 shows and were treated INCREDIBLY well by The Stones (from the band to EVERYONE they employed)!!!!

Doug Goldstein: i used to get a call once a year from Bob Dylan’s lady, asking me to thank the band for recording “Heaven’s Door” because they would receive MASSIVE checks from the sales of our version (in royalties)
She said that he loved the version (although I never spoke to him directly)

Doug Goldstein: It’s Axl’s friend Josh Richmond. Josh helped write the videos for November Rain and Estranged. Josh is a great guy, and I for one DO NOT know why Axl doesn’t speak to him anymore! Josh is brilliant, hilarious, and incredibly creative. Other people in the camp were very jealous of their relationship, which my be the reason Axl no longer communicates with him, but Josh used to spend countless nights with Axl, often staying up for days at a time to make sure his best friend was doing ok!!

Doug Goldstein: Sir, I don’t know where you get your information, but as his manager of 17 years, I was with him during all of those years (physically present), and I resent the fact that you are making claims about Axl that are just plain lies!! Axl Rose RARELY EVEN DRANK, let alone do drugs from 1988–2004 when I was with him!! Please don’t speak as if you are an authority.. I’ve never even heard of you!!

Goldstein is referring to Josh Richman, Axl's actor friend who co-wrote the script for the Don't Cry music video and also participated in the "Making F*king" of Don't Cry.

Then there was a falling out. Axl accused Josh Richman from the stage during the show at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena (Oct. 3, 1991) of "bootlegging tapes" and "selling stories" about Axl in magazines (it's unclear what exactly Axl was referring to).
