Yeah, that is typical. It seems like all forums have lost some activity after the "reunion". Paradoxically, following GN'R has become slightly less fascinating.

Came back from vacation yesterday. Alsace in France. Great!

I'm thinking that I am not very motivated at the moment, I don't look into the forum too often and miss a lot of stuff that's being posted. Same goes for the GNR live shows, I don't know if/where I'll be going...

I am not very motivated about GN'R, either, I mean what is going on with the band right now. But I haven't been for a few years now, either. I am reduced to following the band more like a soap opera. I don't believe in new music (at least for a long while), so I will just scrounge whatever entertainment I get out of whatever will happen. Axl/DC? Bring it on.

I do entertain myself with filling this forum with content, though.

I am thinking that there are more than 600 articles in the interview & articles section now. That is impressive. There is NO OTHER source on earth with so much info on GN'R. This IS the place to go for anyone interested in the story of GN'R. Any aspiring authors of GN'R, this is the place to study the band.

I am thinking that I am screwed. I have a competition run coming up in about one month, and I am in bad shape. I had ambitions of a new personal record, but I have let myself go this winter and now I am struggling on my runs. And my knees are officially wrecked now, so I can't run ever day. I am old!!

I am also thinking that being a single parent (my wife is on a business trip) is hard! You know, I get up at 6 am and then I am fully occupied with work and kids till 8 pm. So I have only about 3 hours to myself every day. That really is the biggest change from not having kids to having kids -- you get less time to spend on your self. Which changes you. Makes you less self-absorbed (not saying people without kids are that, but I certainly have got different priorities in life after becoming a dad). And that's the other change -- you become a different person. A different person with little time.

Yep, for quite a while already! I think I'd just finished the updates on the latest 2017 tour dates and then it was gone.
(I even asked Johan here in this forum about it, as he used to be one of the mods, but he couldn't tell me much, seemed he was as surprised as anyone else.)
I miss some of the nice people there (if any of you should read this, get in touch...)!

But the thing disappeared without any warning at all, that was quite shocking.
You'd have hoped the Admin would at least give a few days notice. Nothing. My guess is the payment for the site stopped, so it went off.

This guy "Menelaos" said once that newgnr was his (only) source of info for GNR. Hope he found his way somewhere else.
This girl was working on a cruise ship, so she wasn't online for a long time. I can only imagine her shock when she returned and found it was gone...

Of course some of them should know about A-4-D, but sadly it seems no-one turned up, so far.
