. A couple of punk bands and a hard rock band, I believe, is playing on Saturday April 27. I sort of have to go there since my brother in law is the guitarist in one of the punk bands (he also plays in the trash metal band Exeloume).

Do you have some other tips of what I can do to explore a bit more of the surroundings? Since I have the whole saturday and sunday off, and only fly home on monday late. I would like to see a bit more of Norway than just the town this time. Though it's a lovely town!

The concert is at Fru Lundgrens.

It's a really bad time of the year to see much, because it will probably be wet and still snowy, at least in the more mountainous regions. If it was later in the year we could go on a day hike on Sunday (if we weren't too hung over from the concert the day before), but now there will be too much snow. I'll give this some more thought.

Before I thought, ah hell, it's one month later than last time, so maybe it's already spring, but here in the Netherlands it's now also still winter. We had snow on easter. Not very common for here. A day hike sounds good, but it has to be feasable. I can bring my hiking shoes. They can deal with some snow.

Urk. I am a gay magnet. Just came back to my hotel after a reception dinner at the Fields Museum here in Chicago. Spent some time talking to a guy there. Here's the email he sent me just now:

It was good walking around the museum with you tonight.

It will be good to see if you can do some things for us.

Yeah, I must admit there's some smaller breweries close to here where I live (south germany), offering great beers - one is called Ulrichsbier (usually shortened to "Uli's") and it is very good indeed! Cool
