New US tour after summer? - TRUE

Being asked if there's any plans to record and tour with Soul Asylum: I am getting booked up with GNR stuff from May to July. They are talking about doing the States again, but I don't know how that is going to work out

I assume he is talking about GN'R going on a US tour again, and not Soul Asylum. Well, Axl said they were gonna tour massively.

Scintillating rumor. The U.S. tour seemed really short to me. The U.S. is huge. I can't help feeling like the U.S. tour was part of the settlement with Azoff so he can get paid off. After that is done the proceeds actually support the band effort, not the Azoff organization. In that context I can understand why GNR would want to hold off releasing any new music. Of course I don't know shit and it's a private matter but I sure would like my $ to go to the band and support more music from the real deal, the songwriters and musicians.

Again US? Get some new music out, for fuck sake. Tour the world again after the release of a new album.

In May, I go back to Europe with Guns and luckily, Thin Lizzy is going to be out with us, which is going to be awesome. They’re going to be supporting us so I’ll be able to play a couple of songs with them every night. But I’ll be out with Guns in May, June and July and then we have to finish up some more recording and hopefully get the record out and be on tour in the fall in the States I’m hoping

Hope so, although(hate sounding like a broken record) if they do, I sure hope they are bring some new material with them this time... I should know better than to expect that though lol.

If Richard is right, and the plan is to tour the US after a new record is released, it would be very strange if they didn't play new material. I just can't believe that they will release new music straight after the European tour this summer. I mean, I am used to being surprised by GN'R, but that is negatively surprised, not positively.

Any new music is good anytime from Guns, however for a record to be successful, it needs to be released in conjunction with touring... Guns seem to have that backwards.

If only they could do a proper release with proper promotion..

Yes, another tour now, without having new music to promote, would be a giant leap in no direction at all.

Heeeeey! Just got home from a three-month European tour with GNR, slowly getting over that weird transition back to ‘normal life’, haha, ready to start being creative. I’ll be writing and recording and releasing and producing and guesting and teaching, maybe some light gigging, doing whatever I can before having to press the pause button on it all and hit the road again. I was planning on writing instrumental guitar music but every time I have a song idea I start thinking of vocal melodies and lyrics, gaaaaahhhh!!!!!

Another tour in the future...Could be US.

Well, a tour of Las Vegas that is.
