European summer tour in 2012? - TRUE

There are strong rumours that Guns N' Roses will be playing in Rybnik, Poland in 2012 (June probobly).

So we just got info from the town council and here's what we got to know:
- the show is almost settled
- the band wants to play in Poland
- Rybnik is a good location (near Czech, Germany, Austria, Slovakia)
- payment for the band is accepted by the management ('not a small amount')
- tickets will cost about 300-400zł (90-100$ or 60-90 euro)
- Poland will be hosting the European Football Championships in 2012 so they are countig for a lot of foreigners
- we need to be patient, some info must be given in December because of
marketing and organizational reasons (they want ticket to be a christmas
gift)
- there were 3 options: Sting, Clapton and GNR. Sting is playing 2 shows
in Warsaw so he's out. People've chosen Guns N' Roses. Some journalist
asked the mayor of Rybnik if it's going to be more bluesy or rocking. He
answered 'definately rockin'. + on his facebook page we can clearly see
he's a Guns fan (recently he posted lots of Guns music)

It's just a rumour, more info in a few days I hope.

If true I would be happy! But it might as well be a rumour like the Serbia date..

Maybe if reports from other countries come as well it could turn out to be true.

There has been no suggestions of a new tour in Europe in 2012 from band members. In fact, Tommy has repeatedly hinted that they will work on a record in 2012, so I do find it a bit strange. I'll cross my fingers, though. Perhaps they can spend the first part of the year getting the follow-up to CD out (containing songs that are almost finished today) and then tour in Europe for the second half, supporting the new album. And then return to the studio to record a completely new record.

You have to be to still be GNR fan Wink

It would not make much sense to tour Europe again without a new album out. But then again they also toured South-America again and some Canadian dates. Plus touring makes more money than studio albums nowadays.

Unfortunately it does, but just think of how much they can earn if they tour after a fantastic, brilliant, glorious new record! Maybe they can tour at proper stadiums again!
