SLASH: Hey Rockerazzi.com followers. Nice to see you.

ROCKERAZZI: Rockstars get asked this a lot, but do youself think about legacy at all? How you want to be remembered? How your body of work? How do you want? You know.

SLASH: I. You know. I mean people ask you questions like how do want to be and you’re forced to think about it. Otherwise I think, you know I definitely don’t walk around going: „God I want to be remebered for this and that and the other“. I don’t think you really get to choose that anyway.

ROCKERAZZI: And „Slash and friends“? Are fans totally psyched about that?

Slash: Uh, the record? It’s not really called „Slash and friends“. „Slash and friends“ is what we’re calling this gig, ´cause we have lacked the imagination to call it anything better. But the record is probably just gonna be called „Slash“ and we actually finished mixing it last night. And it’ll be out next year and I’m really looking forward to it. It’s a good record.

ROCKERAZZI: Tell us a little bit about tonight’s event? This is for a really good cause.

SLASH: It’s a great cause. It’s LAYN. It‘s a LA network for… that takes misplaced youth from 12 to 21 years old, homeless kids, and provides them with shelter, temporary or permanent. You know and (?) emergency in that case... in some cases. And gives them a place to live and gives them the ressources to be able to get their lives together and become independent and not have to be drug dealers, prostitutes, hustlers and all that other stuff that goes on in this town. And to try to get a better lease on life. And you know.. and that’s a great organization. And it’s a non-profit „We’re raising money to help these guys stay on their feet“ so they can keep providing the service.
