The Atlanta based radio station 96 Rock has confirmed to Sp1at that Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin will be performing at the Coyote Club in Cartersville, Atlanta on 22nd April 2005.

Mark Turcotte, of 96 Rock, told Sp1at that the radio station have been shown the contract from the Coyote Club and assured Sp1at that the whole deal was legitimate.

An anoymous source at 96 Rock also told Sp1at that "rumours are abound that Axl has a girlfriend in Georgia and is set to appear", before adding "I'll believe it when I see it".

Sp1at has forwarded contact details for Mark Turcotte to Sanctuary Music Group as requested by the radio station. Previously, Merck Mercuriadis told the MyGnRForum.com that there was "no truth" to this rumour.

Axl/Izzy Concert Confirmed as a Hoax

The Atlanta based radio station 96 Rock has now confirmed to Sp1at that their advertised Cartersville concert is not going to happen.

As reported earlier, 96 Rock confirmed to Sp1at that Axl Rose and Izzy Stradlin were to perform at the Coyote Club in Cartersville, Atlanta on 22nd April 2005.

It is unclear at the moment if legal action will follow as a result of this hoax. We will keep you informed.
