In other news from the "Reporter," former Guns n' Roses drummer Matt Sorum has landed a roll in an indie flick called "The Sound Man." The movie, which is now filming in Sante Fe, New Mexico, stars William Forsythe, Tamlyn Tomita, Wes Studi and Danny Trejo. It tells the story of the final days of a Hollywood sound man on the verge of a breakdown. No word on what role Sorum plays.

This will be the drummer's first attempt at acting. His former bandmate, bassist Duff McKagan, recently starred in an episode of the TV show, "Sliders." Both Sorum and McKagan are reported to be out of Guns n' Roses.
