Axl Takes In Nine Inches, Comes Back for More

One big Nine Inch fan is Axl Rose, who was seen doing his signature go-go dance on the opening Thursday night of Jane’s/Nine Inch at Universal. Then special advance arrangements were made for birthday boy Axl and party to attend the following Wednesday’s show. Mike Stewart waited by the door most of the night to grease Axl’s way in; unfortunately, Axl and his entourage came late, just as Mike gave up the wait and went inside to watch the band. Axl et al. left rather than submit to a quick search. Celebrity fans with less to hide included Dumpster, English guitar heartthrobs Ride, Phil Lewis and LA. Guns, the Chili Peppers and Thelonious Monster.
