Newly Leaked Guns N’ Roses Song Sounds Like Nine Inch Nails & Linkin Park
Guns N’ Roses’ song “Silkworms” has leaked after almost 20 years after it was reportedly recorded around 1998-2000, though a live version has been in circulation. A never before heard version of “Oh My God” has also leaked. We won’t be posting the songs since they were was not officially released by the band, but the recording of “Silkworms” definitely sounds like a song of its time. Fans have compared the sound of “Silkworms” to Nine Inch Nails, Linkin Park, and The Prodigy. It definitely has a very late 90’s/early 2000’s electronica and industrial rhythm, and sounds like it would have fit in an action movie at that time.
It sounds far too dated to have even fit on the Chinese Democracy album we finally heard in 2008. Axl Rose’s vocals are totally distorted throughout the entire song, though there is a brief melodic breakdown near the end that sounds like a small taste of a superior song. Certain lyrical portions have been removed from this recording, which sounds like a demo.
A different version of “Oh My God” has also leaked. The song was originally released in 1999 for the End of Days soundtrack, and for about 17 years it was the only officially released new song from Axl Rose. This version is mostly similar in musical structure to the official version outside of altered lyrics, but there is a much funkier guitar riff during one of the verses.
It’s rumored that there is a much better version of “Silkworms” in existence, especially with Axl Rose praising Buckethead’s solo in the song in the past, and there is no solo in this version. Apparently there are versions with Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal as well. Apparently this leak came about as a deal went wrong with someone in possession of the songs who wanted thousands of dollars for unreleased Chinese Democracy era material.

That leak of Silkworms was actually a later version with Bumblefoot's leads over an older demo. A snippet had leaked in 2013, and in June 2018 it leaked in full.
Those leaks of Oh My God (leaked in full on June 7, 2018) and Silkworms (leaked in full on June 8, 2018) were followed by more leaks during that same month: Brain's remixes of This I Love, If The World and Shackler's Revenge (snippets of which had also leaked in 2013); versions of Madagascar, The Blues and TWAT from 2001; DJ Ashba's instrumentals (Ballad Of Death and Mi Amor); and the poor quality cell phone recording (from an after party in Vienna in 2010) of what was then believed to be The General (but ended up being Monsters/Soul Monster); pro-shot video of the House Of Blues show in 2001.

Of course those 2018 leaks were minor compared to what would follow a year later with the massive leaks from Tom Zutaut's storage locker.

An unheard Guns N’ Roses track from the late 90s has leaked in full
A track Guns N' Roses recorded in the late 90s called 'Silkworms' has surfaced, which fans have pointed out sounds like "industrial" acts from the time
A previously unheard recorded version of the Guns N’ Roses track ‘Silkworms’ has leaked online, reportedly recorded around 1998-2000, as picked up by MyGNRForum.com.
A live version of the track ‘Silkworms’ has circulated online for some time now, featuring in the band’s live set during a performance at the House Of Blues in 2001. Fans have known about the track’s existence for years, and according to GNR fanatics, the track was written by Dizzy Reed and Chris Pitman.
Fans have picked up that the track takes on inspiration from late 90s and early 00s metal acts like Linkin Park and Nine Inch Nails, with rumours circulating that there could be an even better version in existence. According to Alternative Nation, this is because Axl Rose has praised Buckethead’s solo in the song in the past, however, this version does not feature a solo.
They’ve also noted that the track has surfaced due a “deal gone wrong” with someone in possession of the tracks. Considering GNR are gearing up to release their massive Appetite For Destruction 30-year anniversary box-set, the track could be a taste of unreleased material the release is set to offer fans.

Guns N’ Roses Song ‘The General’ Leaks Online?
June 26, 2018
Snippet of the Song Appears to Leak Online!
According to the MYGNRFORUM’s, a short snippet of the unreleased song ‘The General’ has leaked online. Many people have been flipping out over the leak since the song was rumoured to be the sequel to the 1991 song ‘Estranged’. While I’ve heard the leak and can say it’s nothing special, it definitely doesn’t sound like anything that remotely resemelbes the masterpiece that is ‘Estranged’. According to some people who’ve heard the full studio version, it features screaming vocals from Rose.
