Online rumours suggest Guns N’ Roses may have recorded a track for a T-Rex and Marc Bolan tribute album
Rumours are swirling than Guns N’ Roses have been back in the studio together.
Rock and metal broadcaster Mitch Lafon says there are “unsubstantiated reports” that the band have recorded a cover of Children Of The Revolution for inclusion on an upcoming T-Rex and Marc Bolan tribute album, which will be released through BMG.
Mitch says on Twitter: "Unsubstantiated reports claim Guns N’ Roses have recorded a cover of T-Rex’s Children Of The Revolution for inclusion on a upcoming tribute album.

Mitch Lafon on Facebook, Dec. 11, 2018:
Hal Willner - producer for the upcoming T-Rex tribute has sent me the following note about the unsubstantiated report of GUNS N’ ROSES involvement:
"Hi Mitch - just wanted to clear up a rumor you wrote about re. Guns N’ Roses recording “Children of the Revolution “ for BMG and my Bolan project . They are NOT on the record . In fact “children of the revolution “ is done by Kesha with a live orchestra that features Wayne KRAMER and LA’s Jack Shit band that has members of Elvis C and Jackson B’s bands . There is a rumor that Axl Rose recorded that song for a different Bolan project without G & R but again it is not ours . Our project is done and BMG is putting it out in March or April. It is called “Angelheaded Hipster - Another Look at Marc Bolan”. The title comes from Allen Ginsberg “Howl” poem . Some of the featured artists are Marc Almond, Nick Cave, Perry Farrell , Foo Fighters , Emily Haines , Joan Jett, Father John Misty, Todd Rundgren , Peaches , Bjorns , Nena and more - 27 tracks over 2 CDs , vinyl and all the other ways .... so just wanted to give you the real info .... much love , Hal Willner
Oh and U2 with Elton John too"

Guns N’ Roses studio rumours shot down
After rumours swirled that Guns N’ Roses had recorded a cover for a T-Rex tribute album, the record’s producer says that’s not the case
Last week, rumours began gathering pace that Guns N’ Roses had returned to the studio to record a track for an upcoming Marc Bolan and T-Rex tribute album.
Rock and metal broadcaster Mitch Lafon was clear in saying that the buzz around the band came from “unsubstantiated reports” but it had been thought GNR had recorded a cover of Children Of The Revolution.
But that rumour has now been scotched by the record’s producer Hal Willner, who contacted Mitch directly to clear up any confusion.
Willner says on the Rock Talk With Mitch Lafon Facebook page: “Just wanted to clear up a rumour you wrote about regarding Guns N’ Roses recording Children Of The Revolution for BMG and my Bolan project.
“They are not on the record. In fact Children Of The Revolution is done by Kesha with a live orchestra that features Wayne Kramer and LA’s Jack Shit band that has members of Elvis C and Jackson B’s bands.”
“There is a rumour that Axl Rose recorded that song for a different Bolan project without Guns N’ Roses, but again, it is not ours.”
Willner says the album titled Angelheaded Hipster: Another Look At Marc Bolan will launch in the spring of next year, with the title taken from the poem Howl by Allen Ginsberg.
Artists who have been confirmed on the album include Foo Fighters, Joan Jett, Perry Farrell, Nick Cave, Todd Rundgren, U2 and Elton John.
