anyone thinks that axl has some or a lot of LIFE back in his eyes in this tour
on the past tours he seemed very off, out of time, sometimes it looked like a shadow of himself
this tour he seems to be alive and "on" again

Guns N' Roses performed a nonstop three-hour show on Tuesday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey
By Marisa Sullivan
Nothing gets concertgoers to their seats fast enough than a surprise appearance by Andrew Dice Clay!
The legendary comedian, 65, revved up the crowd of Guns N' Roses fans on Tuesday on the rock band's tour stop at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey — just outside Manhattan.
While backstage, Dice tells PEOPLE the moment comes "full circle," as he opened up for the guys "back in the day" 30 years ago at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California, and has even famously credited himself for helping the band reunite in 2019.
GNR performed an epic three-hour set of nonstop hits like "Estranged," "Welcome to the Jungle," "Paradise City" "November Rain" and "Patience."
Lead singer of The Pretenders Chrissie Hynde, who is supporting GNR on a handful of shows through September, teased fans after her band's set that they would be getting a special surprise in "20 minutes" or so. Then an announcer hyped the secret star further, saying this is the only person who could sell out Madison Square Garden with back-to-back shows.
Walking out to a clip of EMF's "Unbelievable" with his infamous "Oooh!" a leather jacket-clad Dice wasted no time kicking off his stand-up set. "New York ...," the real-life Fonz addressed the cheering crowd, drawing out the two words while sauntering around the stage.
"Let me tell you something," he continued with his trademark Brooklyn accent, "best part of my day was when the elevator door opened and nobody was in it — because we know we don't want anyone in it."
Dice continued with another semi-clean bit about growing up in NYC, "going up and down 3rd Avenue on a bicycle."
"And if there was something I wanted, I'd just take it!" he added.
The veteran comic and actor, known to younger generations for playing Lady Gaga's on-screen father in the Oscar-winning film A Star Is Born, then got into his more provocative material, describing a tutorial of things guys should do while "in the act." He ended with some classics like "Little Miss Muffet," which people yelled out word-for-word right along with the entertainer.
Later on Instagram, Dice posted a photo at the concert. "Incredible Night ! Gonna Show And Tell Ya Tomorrow," he wrote. "I Really Can’t Believe I’m Doing Things Like This Again !!!"
Duff McKagan's wife Susan McKagan tells PEOPLE how Andrew Dice Clay wound up opening for the mega-famous rock band, which includes original members Duff and Slash, along with lead singer Axl Rose. The group's current line-up also includes rhythmic guitarist Richard Fortus, keyboard players Dizzy Reed (another OG) and Melissa Reese, along with drummer Frank Ferrer.
"Dice texted my hubby, as they've been longtime friends, and said, 'Hey, I'm in New York, you're in New York, like old times!'" the model tells PEOPLE of the impromptu booking. "He said it would be cool if he did a stand-up set as he did back in the day."
The Velvet Rose author, who has been married to the bassist for nearly 24 years, entertained a small group of guests in Duff's dressing room on Tuesday night, making sure everyone was fed with pizza slices — New York style, of course — after the long night.
Dice was overheard praising a guest's imitation of one of his old-school Big F---ing Ben" bits. "That's very good!"
He and Duff chatted for a bit and Dice took photos with everyone, seemingly enjoying his special appearance on Tuesday.
Some other show highlights included Slash shredding on slide guitar, Rose still hitting his high notes more often than not, his bellowing vocals on songs like "Live and Let Die," which was originally written by Paul McCartney and his late wife Linda McCartney, and the group's overall stage stamina, along with the spectacular stage lighting and visuals on this tour.
Susan also teased some exciting news for Guns N' Roses fans: "They have brand new music coming out. New song any day now, which is big news!"
The band's next stop on the North American leg of their world tour is on Aug. 18 at PNC Park in Pittsburgh. Andrew Dice Clay performs the same night in Austin, Texas at Comedy Mothership and continues his comedy tour through December.

By Mara Siegler
Forget the November rain. A party for Axl Rose got shut down by a cold, cold August downpour, Page Six hears.
Sources tell us that a private Gun N’ Roses after party at Nolita bar the Mulberry for the legendary frontman raged ’til almost sunrise Wednesday morning, only shutting down when a deluge caused the hip subterranean spot to flood.
While the soggy surprise put an end to the bash, we hear nothing was water damaged.
And before spirits were dampened, the rocker — whose iconic band played a three hour set at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey — was in paradise city at the downtown Manhattan bar.
We’re told Rose was initially shown into the spot’s private space, the Whisper Room, but quickly left the secluded area.
“He didn’t want to be in VIP, he wanted to be in the party,” says one reveler.
Rose, 61, was spotted on the dance floor while DJ David Katz spun tunes and the “November Rain” wailer was seen carrying around his own custom bottle of Don Julio 1942 from Diageo with his name engraved on it.
“He was holding court,” says the attendee. “He spoke to everyone. He was the nicest guy. He was telling stories about back in the day and what he is up to now.”
A source tells us that “Avatar” actor Sam Worthington was among those mingling with Rose.
The band, which formed in 1985, has been on a world tour and just released a new song, “Perhaps,” which a press release notes is Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan’s “first collective new composition and recording together in 30 years since 1993’s ‘The Spaghetti Incident?’”

With this show, Anything Goes might have been played more than Mama Kin (56 vs 55 times, but we don't really know for these songs...), Pretty Tied Up has been played more than Riff Raff (47 vs 46 times) and TV Eye has been played more than My Generation (21 vs 20 times).

Guns N’ Roses Welcomed New Jersey to ‘Paradise City’ With a Hard-Hitting Concert
The three-hour set — complete with fan favorites and deep cuts — proved the band can still rock.
By Rob Levine
Quick: Which summer stadium tour features a singer in a shiny outfit, a special guest and a three-hour set that includes a few surprise curveballs? Would you believe Guns N’ Roses? The band is back on tour again this summer — it plays North American stadiums until mid-October — with Slash, original bassist Duff McKagan, longstanding keyboardist Dizzy Reed and, for many concerts, a surprisingly sincere cover of the Jimmy Webb classic “Wichita Lineman.”
In the case of the East Rutherford, N.J., show – its fourth in North America and second in the U.S. this year – the shiny outfit was frontman Axl Rose’s and the special guest was Andrew Dice Clay, who came on to tell jokes for a few minutes after a tight and tough opening set by the Pretenders. “The Diceman,” as he refers to himself, remains upset about several things, including the social-distancing circles on elevator floors that were introduced during the “pandemical,” and the prevalence of senior citizens in Florida, which seems like an issue that’s been around for quite some time. He’s one of the few comedians who can get as much applause for a vocalization — “Ohhhh” — than he can for a joke. That’s not really a good thing, though.
And Guns N’ Roses? They still have it — and much more of it than before Slash rejoined the band in 2016. Slash’s guitar playing is as sharp as ever, and he and McKagan play well together with the touring band, but Rose’s voice isn’t what it was years ago. By the end of the opening “It’s So Easy,” it was clear that Rose has lost some of his range, although how much is hard to tell — he bellowed the chorus of “Mr. Brownstone” to give it the menace it needs and rose to the occasion of “Welcome to the Jungle,” then struggled to hit the high notes of “Rocket Queen.”
Rose isn’t just a compelling performer for his voice, though. Far more than during the shows without Slash, he stalked the stage like a man on a mission, full of menace but also smiling charisma, taking what seemed like a slight bow after some songs. As Slash played along under his usual top hat, Rose actually seemed to be having fun — his history with his bandmates may be soap-operatic, but they all seemed to be having a great old time. He especially shone on songs that didn’t require piercing high notes, such as “Live and Let Die,” “Civil War” and especially “November Rain.”
At a time when critics seem positively shocked at the idea that a stadium show can run for more than three hours and include two surprise songs, it’s worth remembering that this was once simply what rock fans expected — play for a while and surprise us a bit. Guns N’ Roses went beyond this to give each member a chance to shine: McKagan sang a powerful “TV Eye,” Slash snuck pieces of “Voodoo Child” and “People Get Ready” into other songs and “Dizzy f–king Reed,” as Rose called him, showed off his keyboard work. There were plenty of covers, too: “Down on the Farm” (the U.K. Subs song the band covered on The Spaghetti Incident?), “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” and, yes, “Wichita Lineman.” It’s hard to think of a song that seems less suited for a hard rock band – sincere, minimal, tasteful – but it worked well enough to make up for Andrew Dice Clay.
After a hard-hitting “Nightrain,” the band came back with an encore that started with “Coma,” then played the AC/DC song “Walk All Over You,” which Rose said had “his favorite f–king drum fill ever.” (Rose uses profanity as punctuation the way the characters on Succession do.) It’s not the easiest song to sing, but Rose jumped around as Slash powered through the riffs and the band shared parts of the chorus. For a few moments — at various points during this show but especially during this song, “Patience” and a show-ending “Paradise City” — you could believe that these musicians weren’t celebrities who had spent three decades feuding, but just guys who fell in love with the power of loud, crunching hard rock. Which, in some way, they still are.
