Richard: I came into Guns N' Roses through Tommy Stinson. Actually, I'd known Tommy and I'd known Brain and I'd known Robin prior to joining. Tommy called me up and asked me if I'd be interested. And I was on another tour. I flew in from Europe, got off the plane, went straight to the audition, auditioned, hung out with Axl talking and listening to music all night, went back to the airport, got on a flight and went back to the rest of the tour. Axl told me we were starting rehearsals a week later after I had auditioned, and I said, "I can't do that because I'm in the middle of the tour," and he said, "Well OK, I'll wait, we'll wait for you because I know you won't do it to me. You won't leave me if something else comes up." And so, 15 years later, here I am.
