Guns N’ Roses announce dates for Not in This Lifetime Reunion Tour
Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Famers will play football stadiums across the country beginning in June
By Alex Young
Guns N’ Roses have announced dates for an extensive summer tour that will see the reunited rock band perform massive stadium shows in 20 North American cities. The Not in This Lifetime Tour takes its name from Axl Rose‘s own words, which he said in response to a question about the possibility of a GNR reunion back in 2012. Obviously, the frontman has had a change of heart since then, as he’ll be joined on the road by Slash and Duff McKagan, two other members of the band’s classic lineup.
The summer outing will be proceeded by a pair of shows in Las Vegas and Mexico City, as well as a headlining appearance at Coachella, set for April. The band will get a chance to warm their chops this evening, as they’ve also announced a surprise club show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles.
It’s still unclear who will be accompanying Axl, Slash, and McKagan on stage. Last month, guitarist Izzy Stradlin told Rolling Stone that “At this point in time, I’m not involved in the actual shows.” Drummer Steven Adler, on the other hand, has publicly campaigned to be involved in the reunion tour, though as of now, his participation also remains unconfirmed. Presumambly those answers will be cleared up once the band hits the stage in LA this evening.
Check out the full tour schedule below. Additional dates are expected. Tickets go on sale April 8th through Live Nation.
