Translation: "Employee of the Juma Opera hotel in Manaus was fired after recording Axl Rose. The girl said she made the recording on impulse and shared it without thinking. The hotel had informed employees about the rules more than a week ago and not recording the members was one of the main ones."

No surprises. A surprise would in itself be a surprise.

Guns N’ Roses kicks off tour in Brazil with historic show in Manaus
By Bianca Fatim
The band Guns N 'Roses performed at the Arena da Amazônia, in Manaus, on Thursday night (September 1). The historic show kicked off the group's tour in Brazil.
The concert, which was scheduled to start at 9 pm, began 13 minutes later. Hours before the show, fans were already waiting for the gates to open to make sure they got the best spot.
During the show in the capital of Amazonas, the band performed classics such as "Sweet Child O'Mine", "Welcome to the Jungle" and "November Rain", as well as more recent hits like "Absurd".
Axl Rose, lead singer of the band, greeted the audience in English and said he was happy to be in Manaus. The singer started the show wearing a shirt with a picture of a toucan, in reference to the Amazon.
Another highlight of the show was guitarist Slash, who played many solos during the almost three hours of the show, to the fans’ delight.
Guns closed the show with "Paradise City", one of the most anticipated songs.
Besides the hits, the show, the first of the band in Manaus, was marked by nostalgia and the feeling of dream come true for the fans.
Sales consultant Miguel Rates, 45, took his two children, 19-year-old university student Lara Rates and 12-year-old student Lucca Rates. The passion for the band Guns N' Roses was passed on from father to son.
Rates said he became a fan of the group when he was the same age as his son.
"I started playing at the same age as Lucca, so the band was an influence. We're proud that they have a good taste in music. My wife and I used to listen to the songs, and they listened and fell in love, too. It's amazing to share this feeling with them, that they absorbed this love like a sponge and today I'm here more because of them, so that they can live this experience", he stated.
Lara revealed that rock music and the band are part of her life, since her father, who is a bass player, always took his children to concerts. This time, she wanted to see the show alongside the youngest of the family.
"This is the first international show I've been to and I made sure my brother came too. We love the band and my brother is one of the few 12-year-old boys who is a big fan and knows all the songs", said the university student.
After the show in Manaus, the band led by singer Axl Rose, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan will perform Sunday (September 4) in Recife, Pernambuco. From there, the band will go to Rock In Rio and to concerts in other cities.
The North American band has a career of almost 40 years. The current line-up also includes guitarist Richard Fortus, drummer Frank Ferrer and keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Melissa Reese.

Guns N' Roses are met with a passionate audience at the first show of their Latin American tour
It was almost a three-hour performance that ranged from classics to the band's newest hits
By Michael Douglas
Whether die-hard fans or mere onlookers, the thousands of locals - or tourists - who went to the Arena da Amazônia on Thursday night (September 1) to see Axl, Slash and company had the opportunity to attend a show that goes down in the history of Manaus. Not only because of the importance of being a concert by one of the biggest hard rock bands in history, but also for the actual show, which managed to keep the audience excited for almost three hours.
Unlike in the past, the band was not so late and took the stage around 9:15 pm, starting with It's So Easy, the traditional opening song since the return of Duff McKagan and Slash - undoubtedly the song that received the loudest cheers from the audience. Then came other classics from the album Appetite for Destruction, and even a cover of Slither - a song by Velvet Revolver, Slash and Duff's former group after they left Guns.
Out of the songs played, the ones that got the crowd going the most were the best known, such as Sweet Child O' Mine, You Could Be Mine and Civil War, which included a customary tribute by the band to Ukraine. During the whole first half, the band focused on their heaviest songs, and Axl (wearing a toucan shirt), who no longer has the voice he used to have, kept a steady pace, while the rest also kept up the pace - with Slash being the crowd's favorite.
In the second half of the show, the band focused on romantic ballads, such as November Rain, Don't Cry, Patience. The highlights in the final thirty minutes were Knockin' On Heaven's Door and Paradise City - the song that always closes Guns' shows.
Even though Axl doesn't interact with the crowd that much, playing one classic after another, his stage presence is undeniable, and he still captivates the audience, with Slash, Duff and company having synergy on stage. Frank Ferrer, the band's drummer, and Richard Fortus, the second guitarist - and responsible for some of the solos of the night - also stand out.
After the end of the show, the band returned to the stage to thank the audience (Axl even appeared with a kind of headdress), and the band threw some items to the fans.
In the end, although some critical remarks could still be made about the performance, Guns N' Roses commanded their audience and provided a great rock concert in the full Arena da Amazônia.
