Legendary Guns N' Roses Rocker Slash Making Slasher Movies!

Slash — the iconic, Grammy-winning rock guitarist from Guns N’ Roses — has a new career.

The musician revealed to RadarOnline.com that he has launched his own film company aptly titled 'Slasher Films'.

“Ever since I can remember I’ve been raised on horror movies,” Slash said in this exclusive video interview when we caught up with him at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

Slasher Films has announced a slate of four films, including a remake Wake the Dead, the Steve Niles and Chee horror tale that is a modern take on Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.

He’ll also produce Nothing to Fear, as he seeks to recreate the fritty genre films of the late 1970s and early ‘80s.

“It’s a pretty heavy duty little story,” Slash said about the horror flick to be set in a small town where a religious family is lured to become a sacrifice for a demon.

“My whole thing is to go back to the days of making very dramatic, serious, plot-driven, character-driven horror movies, as opposed to what’s become the norm this day.

“Chop ‘em up kind of movies that don’t have real specific characters that you really care anything about.”

Slash revealed, as a musician, he will be involved in the score for the movie — naturally!

He said, “In the back of my mind, score is one of the paramount things having to do with movies in general. I’ll be hands on with the score…I’ll definitely be involved all the way through.”

Slash spoke to RadarOnline.com at the Oakley Learn to Ride Fueled by Muscle Milk.
