Guns N' Roses Drummer Frank Ferrer Guesting On New Sebastian Bach Demo
Frank Ferrer of Guns N' Roses has recorded a guest appearance on a demo recording for the forthcoming solo album from former Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach. In a July 15 post on his Facebook page, Bach writes, "My good buddy and drummer extraordinaire Frank Ferrer from Guns N' Roses has been here since 12 noon learning our new tune, jamming it with us, and we just recorded the tune! Fast, chugging, heavy, melodic, mean and cool this track is!
"Frank is so kind and cool to spend his time with us creating new music.
"We are having fun in the studio and I am so lucky to jam with these cats!"
***UPDATE***: Sebastian Bach has issued the following "clarification" regarding the original Blabbermouth.net headline which suggested Frank Ferrer would guest on Bach's new solo album: "Today's Blabbermouth says: 'Frank Ferrer to guest star on new Sebastian Bach album.' We are not even recording an album yet. We are just recording demos. Frank lives down the street and Bobby [Jarzombek, Bach's regular drummer] is busy with HALFORD so Frank was super-cool to come down and pound the kit, but the plan is for Bobby Jarzombek to play drums on the next record. We do not have a producer or budget or anything for the next record yet. Still getting the tunes together. Next step, pick a producer."
Sebastian Bach's new solo album will likely be released through Sony Music in Japan.
Bach's current solo band includes guitarists Nick Sterling and Johnny Chromatic, drummer Bobby Jarzombek and bassist Rob DeLuca.
Sebastian last year collaborated with Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta on several tracks for Bach's new solo album, with Nick and Charlie Bellmore of the Connecticut band Phantoms assisting during the pre-production process. The singer has also written material with John 5 (Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson).
Fan-filmed video footage of Sebastian Bach's performance at this year's Rockweekend festival on July 9, 2010 in Kilafors (two hours north of Stockholm), Sweden can be viewed below.
Bach supported Guns N' Roses on the band's recently completed South American and Canadian tours.
