Axl Rose Denies Press Statement Regarding Rumored LAX Incident
Axl Rose denies releasing press statement regarding rumored LAX incident. "I did not release any statement or authorize either any statement or anyone to release a statement regarding anything at any airport anywhere.
We had recently began working with newer individuals in management in relation to our current Asian tour in support of our Guns N' Roses album "Chinese Democracy" in addition to Irving Azoff's though as it happens we are once again touring Asia without management of any kind.
Imo this non sense may be some type of manufactured or publicity stunt.
We're looking forward to performing in Osaka and Tokyo Japan doubling our pyro show and with our "new" full stage as local requirement have limited us on its use in our last performances.
Thanks to everyone who's come out to see us. It's been really fun so far and the addition of our new guitarist Dj Ashba joining us along w/ guitarists Ron Bumblefoot Thal and Richard Fortus, gives the night a kick in the pants.
Hope to see the rest of you soon!!
And to any publications running this; please feel free to tack on whatever negative agenda supporting nonsense you generally do (You know who you are!!). After all it's only someone else's livelihood you media police state, no fun, spoil sport, communist bastards.
Peace!!"
The band's currently in Seoul, South Korea where the promote was "sorry" to inform them they would not be able to use a helicopter from the airport to the venue as North Korea would "wonder" what it is!!

Axl Rose Denies Issuing Press Release On Alleged LAX Scuffle
Guns N' Roses frontman says he never authorized a statement 'regarding anything at any airport anywhere.'

As if further proof was needed that Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose snake-shimmies to the beat of his own drummer, the mercurial frontman issued a statement on Monday (December 14) denying a previous statement allegedly released on his behalf about last week's alleged scuffle with paparazzi at Los Angeles International Airport.
"Axl Rose denies releasing press statement regarding rumored LAX incident," read the new statement on the band's MySpace blog. "I did not release any statement or authorize either any statement or anyone to release a statement regarding anything at any airport anywhere," Rose explained, apparently referring to a statement issued on Thursday by a Los Angeles-based publicity firm that blamed the LAX scuffle on an "unruly group of paparazzi." A spokesperson for that firm could not be reached for comment at press time, and though the original statement is still on the band's MySpace, the name of the firm has been removed from it.
"We had recently began working with newer individuals in management in relation to our current Asian tour in support of our Guns N' Roses album Chinese Democracy in addition to [manager] Irving Azoff's though as it happens we are once again touring Asia without management of any kind," the new blog entry says. "[In my opinion,] this nonsense may be some type of manufactured or publicity stunt."
Footage of the alleged airport scuffle posted on TMZ appears to show Rose attacking a photographer before being pulled away by his entourage. A spokesperson for LAX confirmed the incident to MTV News but said that no airport police officers were present when it happened, and no criminal report was filed.
In the latest blog, Rose then went on to thank Asian fans who have come out to see the group on the first string of dates in support of 2008's Democracy, noting that the addition of new guitarist DJ Ashba gives "the night a kick in the pants." He also noted that the government of South Korea denied GN'R the use of a helicopter from the South Korean airport to the venue "as North Korea would 'wonder' what it is!!"
Following the four-date swing through Asia, GN'R are slated to launch a Canadian tour in January and play South America in March and April. No U.S. dates have been announced for the tour.
