Guns go boom

Expect an announcement from Guns N’ Roses any day now cancelling the band’s rescheduled European tour in December. The current military strikes against Afghanistan are giving singer Axl Rose the perfect excuse, although at least the U.K. leg of the tour was called off as of last week, according to Metal Hammer magazine.

That news was confirmed by the tour’s Swedish promoter, who said last week that the rest of the dates were still on the schedule, and they were crossing their fingers they would remain that way.

GN’R initially cancelled the overseas jaunt in June citing the illness of their new guitarist, Buckethead, although sources close to the band say the problem is more so the ongoing illness of the reportedly bi-polar Rose.

The singer has managed to play two shows with his new band, including a New Years club appearance in Las Vegas and the Rock In Rio festival in Brazil two weeks later.
