Beat the band
Received an anonymous call, telling us all about the impending “total breakup” of the metal band, Guns N’ Roses. (One of the band members, Slash, has been off and on for a while.) The caller had a lot of names and complicated so-called facts on hand and sounded very personally involved. Ended the conversation this way: “Whatever happens, it’s management’s fault, not Axl Rose’s. He’s gotten a bad rap.”
Well, that’s show biz. Who hasn’t gotten a bad rap?
