LOS ANGELES (AP) — Axl Rose and his former fiancee are trading assault charges as their post-engagement squabble drags on.

The Guns N' Roses singer agreed to drop the part of his lawsuit demanding Stephanie Seymour return jewelry and other gifts, leaving only claims that she assaulted him at a 1992 Christmas party, court records showed Wednesday.

But Seymour filed a counter-suit claiming assault and battery by Rose. The lawsuit claims Rose beat her
after the Christmas party and then refused to return clothing belonging to her and her 2-year-old son until February.
