Although the man on the advert telling me to stop shaving because I use 5 gallons of water when I shave is a liar, because I only use a sinkful of water when I shave and my sink sure as hell cannot hold 5 gallons...

Just do like me: shave once every 1,5-3 weeks and then just trim it. I just wipe away the hairs from the sink and use only a bit of water to get rid of the leftovers.
