Music manager sues Axl Rose

LOS ANGELES – Axl Rose is being sued by a famed music manager who claims the singer owes him nearly $2 million in unpaid commissions.

Front Line Management, which was founded by Irving Azoff, sued Rose in Los Angeles on Thursday for nearly $1.9 million in unpaid fees. The company claims it had an oral agreement with Rose to receive 15 percent of the Guns N' Roses' frontman's commissions.

The lawsuit states the commissions are due on more than $12 million in earnings Rose made for performances abroad.

Attempts to reach Rose's current management were unsuccessful.

Azoff has represented famous musicians such as The Eagles and Joe Walsh and is currently the executive chairman of Live Nation Entertainment Inc., which recently merged with Ticketmaster Entertainment.

Manager Sues Axl Rose

The company that managed Axl Rose’s career for much of the last two years has sued him to collect what it says is $1.9 million in unpaid fees. Front Line Management, whose founder and chief executive is Irving Azoff — who is also executive chairman of Live Nation Entertainment, which merged with Ticketmaster last month — filed suit in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Thursday, saying that Mr. Rose, left, is in breach of an oral contract that obliged him to pay Front Line 15 percent of his gross earnings as a performer. The suit says that Mr. Rose has not paid the management fees on recent concerts in Asia, South America and Canada, which grossed $12.5 million. A spokesman for Mr. Azoff declined to comment further on the suit, and representatives for Mr. Rose — including his new manager, Doc McGhee — did not respond to inquiries.

Manager Has $1.8 Million Axl to Grind with Rose

Axl Rose has allegedly been hogging some of Guns N' Roses' profits -- and now one company says it's looking to get its hands on his money, honey.

Front Line Management claims it was hired to be Axl's personal manager in 2008 -- and was promised a 15% cut of all the cash Guns N' Roses raked in ... but never got a penny.

In the lawsuit, filed in L.A County Superior Court, Front Line claims the band made in excess of $12,470,000 while performing throughout Asia, Canada and South America.

The company says it wants at least $1,870,500.

Calls to Axl's people have not been returned.
