Many thanks to @troccoli for sharing this with us, and for the amazing collection of GN'R memorabilia he has made available on his site. The original image of the press release can be found here:

GEFFEN RECORDS

GUNS N’ ROSES
THE TRUTH ABOUT THE LIES

Axl is not dead. Guns N’ Roses has sold more than 6 million copies of Appetite For Destruction. And the latest release from Guns N’ Roses – an 8-song compilation of old and new material – will ship Nov. 30.

While Guns N’ Roses prepares to record its next studio album, slated for 1989 release, GN’R Lies provides a specially-priced glimpse at the past and future of America’s favorite band.

The first side of GN’R Lies – the “G” side – shows the band at its explosive heat. On it, you’ll find the 4 songs that comprised their 1986 debut, an independent release on the Uzi Suicide label.

The second side – the “R” side – shows a softer facet of Guns N’ Roses. There, you’ll discover 4 acoustic tracks – 3 of them new, one a re-recording of “You’re Crazy” from the Appetite For Destruction LP.

Who would you believe? You can believe the lies. Or you can believe the music.
