As far as the security measures, the legendary band led by Axl Rose, requested the organizers to have a large number of officers the 24 hours.

Pre-show article about the supporting acts; Living in Peru, March 16, 2010 (via GN'R Daily):
Space Bee and Gaia to Support GN'R in Lima
Everything is being set in Lima for the famous rock band Guns n' Roses arrival; the band, which will give a concert in Lima on March 25, will have two local groups as supporting bands, that is, Space Bee and Gaia.
“Opening the night for Guns n' Roses is very important. And in fact many bands have started playing because of their influence; this is a challenge,” say the members of Gaia, who are currently preparing a new production.
In addition, Space Bee will feature songs from their latest album, called It’s Alive. “We are going to sing these songs and also to promote them,” they say.
Reportedly, Sebastian Bach, the original Skid Row's frontman, has been invited by Guns N’ Roses to join them for this concert.

Andina, March 23, 2010:

Lima, Mar. 23 (ANDINA).- U.S. hard rock band Guns N’ Roses will arrive tonight in Peru to perform this Thursday at the Monumental Stadium Esplanade. However, the arrival date of lead singer Axl Rose –who will fly his private jet- is still unknown, the press spokesman of the concert organiser company pointed out.
The group of musicians, technicians and producers of the concert will arrive from Argentina at 22:00 pm at the Jorge Chavez international airport.
It is worth mentioning that their recent show in Chile caused all kinds of comments since Axl Rose appeared three hours later. Nevertheless, fans who were -at first- upset, seemed satisfied with the two-and-a-half-hour show.
According to Peru21, after the concert, the singer went straight to his dressing room to decide whether he should fly immediately to Buenos Aires –next stop of his Chinese Democracy tour- or stay a couple of more hours in Santiago.
Despite all predictions, the controversial Rose locked himself in his dressing room to interpret some songs of Elton John and Queen with a piano. Axl played until 5 a.m. of Sunday.

Axl Rose, the lead vocalist of Guns N' Roses, arrived in Lima around 8:50 a.m. in his private plane, one day after the rest of the band members.
His security crew escorted him to the Marriot Hotel, in the Limenian district of Miraflores, where he will stay.
The band will give a its first concert in Peru tonight at the Monumental Stadium Esplanade, where many fans have been camping in tents since two days ago.
Many people wonder is the concert will start on time or if there will be any long delay, like it has been the case for the concerts in Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina y Chile.
After performing in Peru, Axl Rose and the whole band will continue their South American tour in Bogotá, Colombia, and Quito, Ecuador.

Report on the show, Blabbermouth, March 26, 2010:

Axl Rose Threatens To Walk Off Stage In Lima; Video Available
Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose threatened to cut short last night's concert in Lima, Peru after enraged fans — who were forced to wait until 12:30 a.m. for the headlining act to take the stage — began throwing objects at the singer. "If you wanna throw shit, we will leave," Axl said through an interpreter. "We would like to stay and have fun with you for a long time tonight." He then added, "So we're gonna have fun? Let's try that again."
A total of three support acts performed before Guns N' Roses took the stage, including former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach, who ended his show just after 11:00 p.m. Fans were then made to wait for more than one hour before Axl and his bandmates began the concert, with many of the more than 25,000 people in attendance showing visible signs of fatigue (see video footage below).
Guns opened its performance with "Chinese Democracy" and "Welcome To The Jungle"; however, the songs that received the most enthusiastic response were "Live And Let Die", "You Could Be Mine", "Knockin' On Heaven's Door", "November Rain", "Patience" and "Madagascar", according to LivingInPeru.com.
