Guns N' Roses: All Tour Dates Cancelled?

According to a 5:27 p.m. EST posting on the official Twitter profile of Guns N' Roses singer Axl Rose, all previously announced Guns N' Roses dates have been "officially cancelled." No further details are currently available.

***UPDATE:*** Unlike most of Axl's previous Twitter messages, which were posted using an iPhone, this one came via the "mobile web," suggesting that Rose's Twitter account could have been hacked.***

Tweet suggests forthcoming tour is off

Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose's Twitter page is suggesting the band's upcoming tour has been cancelled.

The latest tweet from Rose's account at Twitter.com/axlrose, posted at around 11pm (BST) last night (August 15), says: "All upcoming Guns N' Roses dates are officially cancelled. Please contact your place of purchase for any refunds."

At present, it is unconfirmed whether the tweet is genuine and has definitely been written by Rose, or whether his Twitter account could have been hacked, as some fan sites are already claiming.

Responding to the statement on Rose's account, Guns N' Roses' verified Twitter account explained: "Well well well, you never can tell… We are looking into this tweet…"

Meanwhile, there is currently no reference to the remark on Gunsnroses.com.
